Acoma Pueblo ( / ˈækəmə / AK-ə-mə, Western Keres: Áakʼu) is a Native American pueblo approximately 60 miles (97 km) west of Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the United States. Four communities make up the village of Acoma Pueblo: Sky City (Old Acoma), Acomita, Anzac, and McCartys.

Overlooking a vast desert-and-mountain sweep of northern New Mexico and dating back to 1150 AD, Acoma Sky City is a vibrant community characterized.

Sky City is located on top of a tall, sheer mesa, towering 376 feet above an open valley, surrounded by stone pinnacles and majestic buttes. The pueblo has been continuously occupied since at least 1150, possibly as early as 900 A.D.

Mission Church of San Esteban del Rey, 1629, Acoma Pueblo. The church of San Esteban del Rey is based on missionary churches found in Colonial Mexico, but combines local Indigenous techniques and architectural elements. Because it was the first mission built in New Mexico, it became the model for many others erected in this area.

Annual Closures June 24 & 29 July 9-14, & July 25 October: 1st or 2nd weekend December: 1st Weekend In addition to annual closures, unannounced cultural events or weather issues may affect tour times.
